Plenty of Positives for Eagles Prems

Our round 2 encounter against first up winners in Western Suburbs was our first hit out at home, and the game started with the Eagles playing some quality footy. Both teams had 3 scoring shots but the Magpies made more of their opportunities and took a slender 5 point lead into the first break. Zac Johns had a purple patch in the second quarter kicking 3 goals and we were playing with confidence, hitting lead up targets and holding the Wests key players at bay and we took a 1 goal lead into the long break. Some inexperience showed in the third quarter and we allowed West to kick 6 unanswered goals. With the game up for grabs, we started the last quarter with intensity and purpose and moved the ball inside our 50 numerous times but could only score behinds. We held the Magpies goalless for the term and ended the game with the third quarter being the difference between the 2 sides on the day.

Aaron Savage had a great price for cialis game off half back and provided outstanding rebound and forward drives and Zac Johns showed what he is capable of at half forward, kicking 3 of our 5 goals. Aaron Drinkwater did a good job and his strength was a big factor in winning a lot of stoppage clearances for the Eagles while Cam Arndt and Paul Long played well to minimise the impact of the Magpies key midfielders.

Overall, a good performance from the young Eagles and we showed that we can play to our game plan and structures and our first win is just around the corner.
