MEDIA RELEASE: New Men’s Head Coach

East Coast Eagles are very pleased to announce Damien Hall as the new Head Coach at the Eagles for season 2022.

Hall comes to the Eagles with an excellent football resume and his experience in coaching Premier League and State based clubs have led to success over several years. Damien has an extensive knowledge of Sydney AFL having coached Premier League teams at St George, Sydney Uni, Balmain Dockers and even coached the Stockholm Royals in Sweden.

During Damien’s playing career, he was an integral member of successful teams which include East Sydney, Campbelltown Blues (ACTAFL), North Shore, Labrador, Broadbeach, Palm Beach, St George (Player coach) and Balmain (Player Coach-Premiership).

Damien is a Level 3 Performance Coach who has a real passion for coaching and developing young footballers on and off the field. His strong Interpersonal attributes will provide a challenging and enjoyable environment throughout the club.

Damien said, “It is an honour to take the reins at one of Sydney’s most successful clubs with an extensive breeding ground of young talent. I look forward to guiding the young talented Eagles roster on their path back up the ladder, passing on my unique football and off-field experiences to ensure it will be a memorable and empowering season.”

The East Coast Board are excited for season 2022. Damien’s vision and goals are strongly aligned too that of the club. The continued development of our playing list and coaching staff as well as off field programs will ensure the Eagles lead the way in creating pathways for community AFL players.
