There aren’t many more popular people at the Sydney Hills Eagles than Jack Dimery. His relaxed demeanour has a way of galvanizing those around him.
This week JD reaches a major milestone, where he’ll play his 250th Club Game (including matches for the Eagles and Baulkham Hills AFC up to and including 2008).
JD started his AFL journey as a six year old in Auskick with the Baulkham Hills Falcons. Looking back fondly on those early days he remembers during his first Under 9’s game, turning around to find half his team sitting down playing with grass.
Joining the Eagles in 2009 as a sixteen year old, Dimery made an immediate impression playing in the 2010 Grand Final win, a memory he rates as his fondest to date. Jack also rates the 2011 Grand Final as a special moment when the club completed the ‘three-peat’ and having modafinil online bitcoin reached 18 years of age was able to ‘celebrate with the boys’.
When asked to rate the best player he’s played with and why, in typical Dimery fashion he states, “I’d like to say Michael Sankey, so I get a few more votes, but easily Jamie Vlatko. He just dominates his opponents and has single handily won us games countless times”.
Importantly JD is a true Eagle and rates the people as the best thing about the club. “It would have to be the people, everyone involved in the club past and present, since I’ve been here are all great people who would do anything for you. There’s nothing wrong at all with the club, except maybe Rowan Bilkey isn’t here…….but I’ll settle for Jon”, offers Dimery.
Congratulations JD on this tremendous milestone. Let’s hope there’s many more games and Eagles Premierships in the future.
